Over the past few years Facebook has been on a spending spree. The 2012 acquisition of Instagram for $1 billion was his first high-profile acquisition. Last month it blew $19 billion on messaging application WhatsApp, and last week said it is buying the virtual-reality headset manufacturer Oculus, for $2 billion.
