Next week is National Water Week when we are reminded of the worth of water and awareness is raised about sustainable use to preserve this precious resource. However, over a billion people around the world still do not have access to safe and clean drinking water.

In an effort to give these people clean drinking water, Relate Bracelets (a non-profit organisation) has teamed up with Rotary Club of Sea Point and LifeStraw® to raise funds by releasing the Rotary SafeWater Project bracelet. LifeStraw® uses water filters in varying sizes to convert contaminated water into clean, safe drinking water. They are vital for those who don’t have access to safe drinking water, which puts them at risk of contracting diarrhea disease (which kills more than 1.5 million people every year). This bracelet is a great accessory to add to your arm candy. Plus, your bracelet will serve as a reminder to be grateful for having access to safe tap water.
