We are looking for a quick witted, hard-working and capable intern to get their career in media started at one of South Africa’s leading public relations firms to work on some of the biggest global and South African brands. While you’ll learn a lot on the job, what you will need to bring to the table is a strong talent when it comes to writing.

Remuneration: Negotiable, depending on experience
Location: Gardens, Cape Town
Education Level: Matric or a recognised qualification in media, or marketing
Type: Internship (6 months)
Position availability: Immediately

Note: This is an Employment Equity position

You will be required to actively work from day one and will be learning through practical implementation. The role will teach you everything you need to know about:
-Social media management and content creation
-Implementation of communications strategy/activation plans
-Overseeing client activities
-Day-to day running of accounts
-Growing and cultivating a solid media contact base
-Strategic thinking and follow through
-Verbal and written communications skill

Responsibilities and key performance areas are:
-Good creative writing and communication skills (press releases, articles, opinion pieces, and
‘social media copy)
-Media interest and knowledge
-Assisting with the coordination of events
-Ability to assist with all PR activities including assistance with media monitoring, research,
briefs and administration.

-Ensure deliverables are of required and exceeded standard

-Be detail-orientated
