First established in the UK in 1998, under the stewardship of Tim Bishop, Prezence Digital expanded into South Africa in 2002. With more than 18 years in the online and mobile industry, Bishop, Chief Technologyl Officer at Prezence Digital, says of the decision to expand to South Africa: “At the time the individual talent was here, it just seemed to lack direction as the state of the web was poor, but the potential was plainly evident if you cared to look. We brought with us our highly creative and low bandwidth techniques developed for all of the ground-breaking Music Industry work we were doing n London which immediately made an impact here”

Seen by over millions of people across 120 Countries and featured on, amongst others, CNN, ITN and the world’s leading tech site Mashable.com, this campaign is possibly one of the most successful social media and viral campaign to come out of South Africa.
To celebrate this milestone birthday Prezence Digital is announcing the launch of the 10Teams/10Brands/10Grand initiative.
Partnering with non-profit social initiatives and the vanguard of the next decade’s digital talent, the Prezence Digital team will be mentoring ten student teams who will each be tasked with creating a digital campaign for ten deserving charities. The winning team, as adjudicated by Prezence Digital, will receive R10 000 to be shared amongst the team members. From the winning team, the most deserving member, as decided by that team’s mentor, will receive a highly sought after internship with Prezence Digital.
