Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Melrose Arch has just completed construction of a brand new fitness centre. Fitted with state-of-the-art exercise equipment, the centre is yet another offering to add value for GUESTS of the funky urban hotel.
The hotel is particularly proud of its cutting edge ARKE movement training system, which consists of a series of balls of different weights and sizes designed to improve balance and flexibility while building strength.
“Movement training is the latest trend in fitness and it has a large, dedicated following both locally and abroad,” said Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Melrose Arch GM Anton Gillis. “In setting up the most advanced equipment in our fitness centre, we know we’re offering the best to our GUESTS.”
The fitness centre has also been equipped with treadmills that are known for their safety and ease of use, making them user-friendly for GUESTS of all fitness levels. A bike which offers three training positions for the user’s comfort has also been installed, as has an elliptical trainer that works both the upper and the lower body at the same time. Free weights and an adjustable bench are available for the more experienced gym-users.
Over the coming months more equipment will be added to the centre, which is open to all in-house GUESTS from 5am to 10pm. “We will continue to invest in our fitness centre because we know that, in doing so, we are ultimately investing in our GUESTS’ wellbeing,” said Gillis.
