It’s a well known fact that Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! is the gorgeous, sexy, stylish and uber trendy member of the Protea group, the party animals of the family if you will.

With lavish and glam décor, quirky design features, and eye candy wherever you look – as well as all the usual comfort, luxury and unique service culture GUESTS have come to expect of a top class hotel – they are destinations of choice for discerning travellers to Cape Town and Jozi, as well as locals looking for the perfect place to eat, drink and socialise.

To help spread the good word, an ambassador programme was launched last year, in which candidates from each city are invited to audition for the role of spokesperson for Protea Hotel Fire & Ice.

Two successful tours of duty have already been completed and now it’s time for the next lucky duo to step up. Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! are looking for people as funky as the hotels themselves to enjoy perks like complimentary stays, food and drinks over a two month period in exchange for spontaneously using their social media and networking skills to share their experiences on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and blogs.

If you think you fit the profile, you need to follow a few simple steps to prove your mettle. First things first: “like” the Protea Hotels page on Facebook (www.facebook.com/proteahotels).

Once you’ve done that, post five of your favourite things about Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! on the wall. Maybe you are addicted to the vodka-spiked milkshakes in Cape Town, or the decadent afternoon teas on the veranda overlooking Melrose Arch in Jozi.  It could be poolside cocktails, or the unique individually designed rest rooms and elevators…whatever floats your boat, blows your skirt up, or rocks your world.

Then choose your number one feature, take a photograph of it and upload it on the page, adding your reasons in 50 words or less. Get as many of your friends to “like” your photograph as possible and you’ll be in the running for this coveted contract. Entries close on March 2, so get clicking!
